• Your child's personality traits, interests, and hometown
• Names of companions, siblings, or pets you choose to include
• Any additional details you voluntarily provide in the customization field
• Your shipping address (collected by Stripe at checkout)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details)

We also collect limited technical data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, via Google Analytics.

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate your personalized story book
• Deliver your digital story by email
• Fulfill and ship your printed book order

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Growing Minds is a service for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. All information about children is provided by a parent or guardian on their behalf. By using our service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are providing information about your child with full parental consent.

The information you provide about your child (name, age, appearance, interests) is used solely to generate their personalized story. We do not share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate our business:

• Stripe — payment processing and shipping address collection
• Resend — email delivery of your story
• Lulu Direct — printing and fulfillment of physical books
• Anthropic — AI story generation (no personal data is retained by Anthropic beyond what is needed to process the request)
• Google Analytics — anonymous website usage analytics
• Airtable — internal customer record keeping

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email address and order information for as long as necessary to fulfill your order and provide customer support. Story content is temporarily stored during generation and deleted within 2 hours of your order being fulfilled. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@growingminds.io.

7. Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our website. These cookies collect anonymous data such as pages visited and time spent on site. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
